Indian Women’s League 2026-27 season to begin November 13

The Indian Women’s League (IWL), India’s premier women’s club football competition, is scheduled to begin its 2026-27 season on November 13. The tournament will feature eight clubs competing in Kolkata, Jamshedpur, and Bengaluru.

Defending champions East Bengal FC will attempt to retain their title following a season in which they recorded 13 wins and one loss. The participating clubs include six teams from the previous season—East Bengal FC, Sethu FC, Kickstart FC, Nita Football Academy, Gokulam Kerala FC, and Garhwal United FC—alongside newly promoted HOPS FC and Juba Sangha FC.

The upcoming season follows a 15-year partnership between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Capri Sports regarding the commercial development and marketing rights for the IWL and IWL 2.
