Indiana men’s basketball defeats Western Kentucky in exhibition

The Indiana Hoosiers secured a 79-74 exhibition victory against Western Kentucky at the Ford Center in Evansville. Despite trailing by as many as 11 points in the second half, Indiana utilized a late scoring run to overcome the Hilltoppers.

The victory was driven largely by the Hoosiers' bench. Coach Darian DeVries utilized a deep rotation, playing 11 of his 13 scholarship players. The second unit, which included three freshmen, outscored Western Kentucky 20-11 during the final 6:22 of the game. Bryce Lindsay led the scoring efforts with 20 points.

Western Kentucky's Teagan Moore provided a standout performance with 30 points, but the Hilltoppers struggled to maintain their lead. Indiana enters the regular season with a perfect 3-0 exhibition record, having previously recorded wins over Butler and North Carolina.
