Indiana Fever prepare for postseason push during WNBA break
The Indiana Fever are navigating a mid-season break caused by the FIBA Women’s World Cup, which halts WNBA action from August 31 until September 16. While stars Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston will participate in the World Cup for Team USA, the rest of the roster and coaching staff are utilizing the pause to rest and reset.
Following a recent three-game winning streak, including a 20-point victory over the Connecticut Sun, the team is currently 26-14 and fighting for a top-three seed in the standings. Rookie guard Raven Johnson noted the significant impact of the team’s fanbase, stating that their supporters often pack opposing arenas, making road games feel like home games.
The Fever are scheduled to return to action on September 18 against the Toronto Tempo, followed by a homestand and a regular-season finale against the Minnesota Lynx on September 24.
