Indiana high school sports: Sectional upsets and wrestling results

In Indiana high school sports, teams with losing records achieved a combined 20-39 record during recent sectional competition. Twenty teams from these groups advanced to the sectional finals scheduled for November 6. A notable upset occurred in Class 3A, Sectional 28, where West Lafayette (3-7) defeated the undefeated Maconaquah (10-0) with a score of 54-26.

Other significant upsets included Franklin Central defeating Decatur Central and Evansville Harrison overcoming Bedford North Lawrence. In the collegiate arena, Indiana University Wrestling held its annual wrestle-offs at Wilkinson Hall. Team Moran, coached by Jacob Moran, defeated the opposing squad 26-17. The wrestling season is set to begin on November 7 with duals against Lock Haven and Lehigh.
