Indiana football defeats Michigan 13-6 in overtime

No. 6 Indiana secured a 13-6 overtime victory against Michigan at Michigan Stadium, marking the Hoosiers' first win at the venue since 1967. Despite an offensive struggle where quarterback Josh Hoover completed only 8 of 18 passes for 81 yards, Indiana's defense, led by coordinator Bryant Haines, prevented Michigan from reaching the end zone during regulation.

In overtime, Hoover connected with tight end Brock Schott for a 21-yard pass before scoring on a 4-yard touchdown run. Michigan, led by freshman quarterback Tommy Carr, struggled offensively, totaling only 224 yards and committing two turnovers, including a fumble and an interception. The Wolverines' defense performed strongly, holding Indiana to limited yardage, but the offense could not capitalize on key opportunities.

Indiana improves to 7-1 on the season, while Michigan falls to 4-3. Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham cited issues with the running game, red-zone execution, and turnover margins as primary factors in the loss.
