Indiana ranked as 10th most dehydrated state in U.S. study
A recent study by Coventry Direct has ranked Indiana as the 10th most dehydrated state in the United States. The findings are based on a survey of 2,583 Americans conducted between May 29 and June 8, 2026.
According to the survey, residents of Indiana consume an average of 6.1 cups of water per day. While this places the state in a high dehydration ranking, the report notes that the data is relative to other states; for instance, Nebraska leads the nation with an average of 7.56 cups per day, while Arkansas ranks lowest with 5.12 cups. The study utilized various metrics beyond daily water intake to determine these rankings, though the sample size remains small relative to the total U.S. population.
