Indiana University defensive backs discuss fall camp progress

During the sixth day of Indiana University football's fall camp in Bloomington, defensive backs Amare Ferrell and Jamari Sharpe addressed the media regarding team development and leadership.

Amare Ferrell discussed the progress of Byron Baldwin Jr., noting that while the team is working on day-to-day consistency, Baldwin has shown significant potential. Ferrell also highlighted his chemistry with Preston Zachman, stating that the two players learn from one another to improve their respective games. As a veteran in his fourth year, Ferrell expressed his commitment to helping new players learn the defensive system.

Jamari Sharpe, entering his fifth year, emphasized his role in providing leadership to younger players and transfers to ensure they understand how the program operates. He reflected on his transition from being an under-the-radar player to a more prominent figure in the defense following a notable interception in a previous game.
