Indiana weather forecast predicts rain and a significant cool-down

Indiana is experiencing a period of cool, damp weather with light rain or drizzle expected across northern and central regions. In northern Indiana, rain chances range from 20% to 40%, particularly along and south of U.S. 24. High temperatures are expected to remain below normal, with highs in the 60s through the remainder of the workweek.

Central Indiana will remain gray and overcast, with temperatures struggling to rise above the low to mid-60s. A significant cool-down is anticipated by Friday night, which may bring the coldest temperatures to the state since last spring, with overnight lows dropping into the 40s and low 50s.

Conditions are expected to improve heading into the weekend, with clearing skies and a warming trend. High temperatures are projected to reach the mid to upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday, potentially climbing into the low 80s by early next week.
