Indianapolis Colts conclude training camp at Grand Park

The Indianapolis Colts are concluding their training camp at Grand Park in Westfield, ahead of upcoming joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons. The team is currently navigating roster decisions and player health as they approach the August 30 deadline for final 53-man squad selections.

During recent practices, rookie linebacker CJ Allen returned to the field after a five-session absence due to a hamstring injury. While Allen is expected to start in the regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, his absence has allowed veteran safety Cam Bynum to emerge as a candidate for the defensive coordinator’s green dot communication role. Additionally, the Colts' defense has shown strength in shutting down the team's passing offense during drills.

On the offensive side, roster projections suggest competition at several key positions. The quarterback room includes Daniel Jones, Riley Leonard, and Anthony Richardson. Despite previous trade discussions, Richardson is expected to remain with the team. The running back unit is also being shaped by injuries, specifically to DJ Giddens, which has opened opportunities for Seth McGowan and Ulysses Bentley IV.
