Colts begin training camp as Jones, Buckner cleared to practice
The Indianapolis Colts kicked off their 2026 training camp at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Quarterback Daniel Jones, who missed the previous season with a torn Achilles, was cleared by team doctors and participated fully in the first day of practice. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, returning from neck surgery, also received clearance and described the milestone as a "graduation day" for him.
Rookie safety A.J. Haulcy, a former LSU player, joined the defensive squad after a strong college career with 10 interceptions. The team also highlighted other roster updates, including the presence of second‑round pick linebacker CJ Allen and the status of wide receiver Alec Pierce, who remains on the physically unable to perform list but is expected to return soon. General manager Chris Ballard discussed the team's approach to player health and future roster moves as the Colts prepare for the upcoming season.
