Indianapolis Colts likely to retain quarterback Anthony Richardson

The Indianapolis Colts appear unlikely to trade quarterback Anthony Richardson despite his recent trade request. Colts General Manager Chris Ballard indicated no plans to move the player, and assistant GM Ed Dodds suggested the team intends to keep Richardson for the 2026 season, which is the final year of his guaranteed rookie contract.

Richardson expressed a desire to remain focused on his performance, stating, “I’m just here right now, trying to make sure I can stamp my foot on this team and be the best version of myself I can be for the team.” He added that if the team wants him to stay, he is ready to showcase his abilities to help them win.
