Indianapolis Colts place Alec Pierce on injured reserve
The Indianapolis Colts have placed wide receiver Alec Pierce on injured reserve following a heel injury sustained during their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed the move, which means Pierce will miss a minimum of four games, potentially returning no earlier than Week 7.
In Wednesday's injury report ahead of the Week 3 matchup against the Houston Texans, cornerback Charvarius Ward missed practice due to a groin injury. Wide receiver Ashton Dulin was also absent due to an ankle injury. Running back Jonathan Taylor and wide receiver Keenan Allen were limited in practice, though they are expected to return to full participation soon.
Other players listed on the report, including cornerback Sauce Gardner, guard Matt Goncalves, and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, were full participants in practice.
