Indianapolis Colts re-sign Germaine Pratt and promote Pharaoh Brown
The Indianapolis Colts have made two roster moves to address depth issues. The team has re-signed veteran linebacker Germaine Pratt to the practice squad and promoted tight end Pharaoh Brown to the 53-man active roster.
Pratt, who started 12 games for the Colts last season, returns to the organization to provide experience to a linebacker corps that has struggled through a 2-3 start. He has a prior working relationship with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo from their time together in Cincinnati. The linebacker position has seen inconsistent play from players such as Akeem Davis-Gaither, Bryce Boettcher, and rookie CJ Allen, the latter of whom has dealt with hamstring and calf injuries.
Pharaoh Brown joins the active roster to provide additional depth at tight end alongside Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox, and Drew Ogletree. Brown is a veteran with 94 career NFL appearances.
