Indianapolis Colts training camp features QB and kicker competitions

During the ninth day of the Indianapolis Colts training camp, rookie quarterbacks Anthony Richardson and Riley Leonard showed promise, though the starting offense struggled. Richardson connected with rookie Deion Burks for a touchdown during a situational period, while Leonard completed a touchdown pass to Eli Pancol.

In contrast, the starting unit led by Daniel Jones faced challenges, recording unofficial stats of 7-of-13 passing with two interceptions and a red-zone sack.

The team is also engaged in a competitive battle for the starting kicker position between Blake Grupe and Spencer Shrader. Both players have expressed mutual respect for one another as they compete for the role. The Colts are scheduled to join the New England Patriots for a joint practice on Tuesday before playing their first preseason game on Thursday in Foxborough.
