India's 19th National Employment Fair Grants Jobs to Over 51,000 Youth

The central government organised the 19th National Employment Fair across 47 locations in India on 23 May, aiming to link youth with transparent recruitment processes. More than 51,000 young candidates received appointment letters for positions in various ministries and departments.

Key venues included the Kajri Auditorium in Jodhpur, where Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presented letters to 191 new hires, and events in Ajmer and Bikaner that distributed 258 and numerous appointments respectively. The railway sector accounted for the highest number of selections with 153 positions, followed by the postal, financial services, and defence departments. Ministers such as Arjun Ram Meghwal and Giriraj Singh highlighted reforms that eliminated interview stages for many roles and introduced self‑assessment, describing the fair as a historic step toward corruption‑free recruitment.

The initiative, launched in 2023, is presented as a major effort to provide stable employment for India's youth, with officials praising the scale and transparency of the hiring drive.
