American sprinter Kenny Bednarek has expressed support for India’s bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games. Bednarek, a two-time silver medalist in the 200 meters, cited India’s diverse culture, languages, and traditions as factors that would make it an ideal host for the global event.
The International Olympic Committee recently confirmed that India is one of seven nations competing for the 2036 Games. India’s bid faces competition from Germany, Qatar, Hungary, South Korea, South Africa, and Turkey.
As part of its preparation to host large-scale multisport events, India is also seeking to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad and the 2038 Asian Games.
