India's Aman Sehrawat wins gold as team secures five medals at Budapest Ranking Series
Indian wrestlers performed strongly at the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial Senior Ranking Tournament in Budapest. Aman Sehrawat captured gold in the men’s 57 kg freestyle, defeating Georgia’s Roberti Dingashvili 13‑3 by technical superiority. Hansika Lamba earned silver in the women’s 55 kg freestyle after a 5‑0 final loss to Ukraine’s Nataliia Klivchutska, having rallied from a 2‑7 semifinal deficit. The Indian contingent added three bronze medals: Vishal Kaliraman (men’s 65 kg), Rajat Ruhal (men’s 125 kg) and Deepak (men’s 61 kg). These results brought India’s total to five medals in the event. The team will continue competing in the remaining weight classes, with women’s categories slated to begin later in the tournament.
