India's Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth Reviews Kashmir Security and Operations
Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth visited the Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar, where he was briefed on the security situation, operational deployments and counter‑terrorism operations along the Line of Control (LoC) and the preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra. He inspected readiness of troops, technology integration and capability enhancement measures, and praised personnel for their professionalism in the region.
The COAS then moved to the forward districts of Poonch, Rajouri and Sunderbani, reviewing combat readiness, surveillance architecture and infrastructure projects. He met senior officers at the Poonch Brigade headquarters, as well as Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to discuss the evolving security environment and people‑centric initiatives in the frontier villages.
