India's aviation sector sees strong recovery in international travel

Travel between India and the Middle East is rebounding, driven by sustained leisure demand, growing corporate trips and a gradual pick‑up in MICE activity. Santosh Kanchan, country head for Cozmo Travel, said passenger confidence has risen and airlines are operating close to normal capacity on routes to the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The India‑UAE corridor in particular has normalised fastest, with increased frequencies and seat capacity on Air Arabia, Emirates, Etihad, flydubai and Qatar Airways.

India’s wider aviation market is also seeing a steady lift in international passenger traffic. Easing geopolitical tensions, stronger economic growth and higher disposable incomes have boosted bookings on overseas routes, prompting airlines to restore and add services. The surge is benefiting airports, tourism, hospitality and related sectors, reinforcing India’s position as a fast‑growing global aviation hub.
