India's Economic Resilience Drives Growth Despite Global Turbulence

India has continued to post strong growth even as external pressures mounted. Recent US tariff measures, the Iran conflict, and a weakened rupee have not slowed the economy, which is expected to remain the fastest‑growing large economy through FY2027.

Domestic indicators show the resilience: GST collections have again topped ₹2 lakh crore, automobile sales stay robust month after month, and corporate margins have improved despite higher oil prices. Profit growth remains healthy, with the net‑profit‑to‑GDP ratio approaching an all‑time high and a third consecutive quarter of solid corporate earnings. Analysts note that the COVID‑19 pandemic forced Indian businesses to become leaner and more disciplined, enhancing their ability to weather future shocks.
