The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 was approved in the Lok Sabha, aimed at curbing paper leaks and exam fraud. Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh praised the legislation, saying it sends a clear message to those who try to “steal the future of our students.” The Union Government also announced structural reforms, a high‑powered task force led by Nandan Nilekani, and measures to strengthen the National Testing Agency.

Separately, the Telugu Desam Party’s outreach programme “Intintiki Telugu Desam‑2026” continued across Andhra Pradesh, with party cadres visiting around 9 lakh households in the first four days. The campaign highlighted the coalition government’s development, welfare, infrastructure, and youth‑employment initiatives, with Lokesh encouraging workers and leaders to maintain momentum.
