EPFO to credit 8.25% interest to 34 crore accounts by July 15 via new digital platform
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has begun crediting interest at 8.25% for FY 2025‑26. Over ₹1.44 lakh crore will be deposited into roughly 34 crore member accounts, with the process to be completed by 15 July, Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced.
A new Centralised IT Enabled Services (CITES) platform now powers a unified digital portal, allowing members nationwide to view PF balances, claim status, and pension records online. The system also raises the auto‑settlement limit for PF claims from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh and automates UAN transfers and pension payments.
Following a recent IT upgrade, EPFO warned that claim processing and certain services could be delayed by up to two weeks during a post‑migration stabilization period. Field verification will be completed before interest is credited to ensure accuracy.
