India's EPFO online services shut down for migration

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) announced on June 25 that its Member portal, Employer portal and the Umang app will be unavailable from June 26 to June 29 as part of a system migration aimed at delivering faster, more reliable and secure services. During the outage users will be unable to submit claims, process electronic challan‑return (ECR) filings, link UANs for new hires or access the e‑Passbook service.

EPFO advised members and employers to plan their activities accordingly and offered assistance through its call centre (14470). A notification on the Umang app apologized, stating, "हुई असुविधा के लिए हमें खेद है." The organization expects services to be restored on June 30, with some messages indicating a possible restart by July 2.
