India's EPFO suspends online portal for system upgrade, services halted June 26‑29

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) announced that its online claim portal will be temporarily closed from 26 June to 29 June (services resume on 30 June) to carry out a database consolidation and a software upgrade known as EPFO 3.0. During the shutdown, members will not be able to submit new PF claims, check balances, or process withdrawals and transfers, and existing claim processing will be paused.

EPFO said the upgrade is intended to make claim processing faster, more secure and more reliable, and also to introduce future digital features such as UPI‑based and ATM‑based PF withdrawals via a new mobile app. The organization apologized for the inconvenience and provided a helpline (14470) for assistance.
