India's exam coaching market projected to reach $26 billion by FY30
India’s competitive exam coaching market is projected to reach a valuation of $23–$26 billion by fiscal year 2030, according to a report by Redseer Strategy Consultants. The growth is expected to be driven by an expanding base of aspirants, increased penetration of organized preparation services, and higher per-student spending.
Undergraduate entrance preparation for JEE and NEET accounts for nearly 70 per cent of this market. The report highlights a high level of competition, noting that success rates for IIT admissions are approximately 1 per cent, while preferred government medical seats see a success rate of roughly 3 per cent.
Students and families place significant emphasis on faculty quality and past institutional results when selecting coaching. For those targeting top-tier ranks, faculty quality and historical performance are primary considerations. The report suggests that institutions integrating advanced technology to identify learning gaps and improve testing will be best positioned to capture future market share.
