India's global standing and looming TMC split highlighted by JDU spokesperson

JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said India’s global leadership is attracting worldwide attention, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to France and the country’s growing acceptance over the past 12 years. He warned that continued tensions in Jammu‑Kashmir, provocations from Pakistan and incidents such as the seizure of a Russian oil tanker could threaten peace and the economy, urging logical solutions and a strong response from the Indian army when needed. Ranjan also praised the rescue of Indian crew members by Oman and called the operation a significant achievement.

In a separate briefing, Ranjan announced that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is expected to split, with internal dissent growing against leaders Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. He noted that rebel legislators are leaving the party and that the upcoming G‑7 summit, where Modi may meet President Trump, could shape India’s strategic partnerships. He also condemned recent stone‑throwing incidents by students at Patna’s Pataliputra station, urging calm and discipline.
