India gold and silver prices tumble in June 2026
On June 18‑19 2026 Indian gold and silver prices fell sharply. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) gold futures dropped about ₹2,100 to ₹1,51,768 per 10 g, while silver futures fell to around ₹2,44,945 per kg. Spot rates in major cities also declined: 24‑carat gold priced near ₹15,090‑₹15,110 per 10 g and 22‑carat around ₹13,830‑₹13,850, with silver trading at roughly ₹2,59,900‑₹2,64,900 per kilogram. Internationally, gold was quoted at about $4,275 per ounce and silver at $68.94 per ounce. Analysts linked the drop to a stronger rupee, a rally in the domestic stock market and outlooks from the U.S. Federal Reserve indicating possible further rate hikes, which tend to depress precious‑metal demand.
