India's gold and silver prices slip on July 6 2026

Retail gold prices fell across major Indian cities on July 6 2026. The benchmark 24‑karat rate dropped to around ₹14,662 per gram (≈₹14,687 in Delhi) and 22‑karat to about ₹13,440 per gram (≈₹13,464 in Delhi). 18‑karat gold was near ₹11,000 per gram. Silver prices softened to roughly ₹2,49,900 per kilogram nationwide.

MCX futures also edged lower, with August gold at ₹147,830 per 10 g and July silver at ₹2,36,034 per kg. Analysts linked the decline to a firmer US dollar, weaker domestic demand and reduced expectations of Federal Reserve rate hikes, which lowered the safe‑haven appeal of gold. The World Gold Council’s outlook still expects price ranges of ±5 % around US$4,100 per ounce for the second half of 2026.
