India's IGCAR and IARI launch 2026 apprenticeship and Young Professional recruitment

The Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, has opened online applications for 200 trade apprenticeship positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The vacancies span 18 trades—including fitter, electrician, welder and programming assistant—and are available from 20 July to 19 August 2026. Eight of the seats are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities.

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) regional station in Kalimpong is recruiting a single Young Professional‑I on a contractual basis. The role, focused on project‑related field and laboratory work, offers a fixed salary of ₹30,000 per month for an initial twelve‑month term. Applications must be submitted by 7 August 2026, with a walk‑in interview scheduled for 13 August.
