India's Kohli, Rohit injury status ahead of Afghanistan ODI series

India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said the fitness of senior batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be examined in the coming days before the three‑match ODI series against Afghanistan, with official communication to follow once the medical team decides.

Kohli suffered a hamstring strain during the IPL final and has been ruled out of the series, while Rohit also carries a hamstring injury from the IPL and his participation remains doubtful. Doeschate added that the board will assess each player case‑by‑case and issue updates as soon as they are available.
