India gold prices dip on July 24, 2026
On July 24, 2026 gold and silver prices fell across Indian markets. On the Multi‑Commodity Exchange (MCX) the August futures contract for 24‑carat gold opened around ₹1,41,932 per 10 g, down about 0.6 % from the previous close, while 22‑carat gold traded near ₹1,33,990 per 10 g. Silver futures on MCX slipped to roughly ₹2,26,400 per kilogram. City‑level rates reflected the decline, with 24‑carat gold in Delhi quoted at ₹147,420 per 10 g and in Mumbai at ₹147,280 per 10 g, both lower than a day earlier. Silver prices in major Indian cities hovered around ₹2.40‑2.45 lakh per kilogram.
The drop follows several days of rally driven by Middle‑East tensions and safe‑haven buying, but profit‑taking and expectations of higher global interest rates have softened demand. International bullion markets remained volatile, with gold trading near $4,130 per ounce and silver around $60 per ounce.
In Dubai, gold prices also retreated, with the 24‑karat rate falling to Dh496.25 (about ₹1.28 lakh per 10 g) after briefly crossing the Dh500 threshold. The 22‑karat rate slipped to Dh459.75. The movements in Dubai were linked to the same global factors influencing Indian prices.
