India's MEA denies US deportation info on Cockroach Janata Party founder

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told reporters that the Indian government has no information about any US visa suspension, deportation or other immigration action against Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the satirical Cockroach Janata Party. Dipke is expected to return from the United States and lead a “peaceful protest” at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on June 6, demanding action on the NEET‑UG paper leak, the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and alleged irregularities in the CBSE’s on‑screen marking system. The Delhi Police said no permission has yet been sought for the demonstration. In the same briefing, Jaiswal cited recent US‑India migration talks and quoted figures for Indian nationals deported from the United States – 1,076 in 2026 and 3,567 in 2025 – while reiterating that no official notice from the United States regarding Dipke has been received.
