India's National Children’s Science Congress 2026 engages students in Punjab and Gujarat

Chandigarh University hosted a state‑level orientation workshop for the 32nd National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) 2026 in Punjab. More than 110 district coordinators from all 23 districts attended, with Dr Dapinder Kaur Bakshi, Joint Director of the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, as chief guest and Dr Jagdeesh Kannan, Pro Vice‑Chancellor of Chandigarh University, as guest of honour. The workshop, themed “Science & Innovation for Sustainability,” aimed to equip educators with tools to mentor school students in research‑based projects addressing local challenges.

In Gujarat, the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) invited young innovators to participate in the NCSC 2026. The event, also under the theme “Science and Innovation for Sustainability,” offers students aged 10‑17 the chance to develop solutions in waste, energy, water, food, agriculture, health and Indian Knowledge Systems. Registration is free, with a deadline of 15 August 2026, and 26 top projects will represent Gujarat at the national congress. GUJCOST will support the most innovative projects through its Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre.
