India's NCB busts pan‑India LSD network, arrests doctor and medical student

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled a nationwide LSD trafficking network that operated through a darknet marketplace and accepted payments in the privacy‑focused cryptocurrency Monero. The coordinated operation spanned Chennai, Kanniyakumari and Pune, leading to the seizure of 2,796 LSD blotters worth about ₹1 crore, 166 g of hydroponic ganja, 113 Nitrazepam tablets and ₹70,000 in cash.

Four suspects were arrested, including a practicing doctor and an MBBS student from Tamil Marina, along with two other individuals. The NCB recovered parcels destined for multiple states and identified a hub in Kodaikanal, where 225 blotters were intended for local distribution. Searches also uncovered two guest‑house operators in the hill station who remain at large. Investigators are tracing the cryptocurrency transactions and the identity of the darknet vendor behind the scheme.
