India raises Vadodara‑Bharuch Expressway tolls by about 5% on July 21

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) increased toll charges on the Vadodara‑Bharuch stretch of the Delhi‑Mumbai Expressway by roughly 5% effective 21 July 2026. The revised tariff applies at four toll plazas in Vadodara district – Dodka, Fazalpur, Samiyala and Sampa – and affects all vehicle categories. Cars and vans now pay ₹210 at Dodka (up from ₹205), ₹200 at Fazalpur, and ₹130 at Samiyala; the Sampa rate remains ₹90. Light commercial vehicles face fees between ₹115 and ₹340. Bus and truck operators see charges rise to as high as ₹715 at Dodka and ₹690 at Fazalpur, while heavy‑axle vehicles can be levied up to ₹935. The hike follows a temporary 20‑30% reduction introduced three months earlier, ending that short‑term relief as traffic on the corridor continues to grow.

The increase adds a direct cost burden to thousands of daily commuters and freight operators traveling between Vadodara and Bharuch, potentially influencing transport costs in the region.
