India's NRAI launches international and national shooting official training courses in Delhi
The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) began two technical training programmes in New Delhi in early August. From August 1‑4, a four‑day National Electronic Scoring Target (EST) Course trained 33 Indian officials on the operation and maintenance of electronic scoring systems, qualifying them for the upcoming ISSF EST Course. Instructors Dhirajkumar Singh and Arun Wareshi, both ISSF‑certified, led the sessions.
From August 3‑7, the ISSF Shotgun Referee Course ran for five days, drawing participants from India, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka. The course was conducted by Bahrain‑based ISSF‑nominated instructor Nooruddin Alyasi, assisted by Amar Jang Singh. NRAI President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo highlighted the importance of building a robust pool of internationally certified officials, while Secretary General Pawankumar Singh welcomed the delegates and stressed the need for technical expertise as shooting sports adopt advanced technology.
