India's National Testing Agency launches recruitment of four General Managers and 16 young professionals
The autonomous National Testing Agency (NTA) announced a recruitment drive to fill four contractual General Manager posts and 16 young‑professional positions through the Union Public Service Commission's Pratibha Setu portal. The General Manager roles cover assessment research, test‑centre network operations, information‑security (CISO) and vigilance, investigation and forensics, each with an initial three‑year tenure.
The hires are part of a restructuring plan recommended by the high‑level committee chaired by Professor K. Radhakrishnan, introduced after a series of paper‑leak scandals surrounding the NEET‑UG exam. In response to the controversy, the government dismissed 47 NTA officials and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned. The agency also cancelled the NEET‑UG exam held on 3 May 2026 and offered compensation to roughly 20 aspirants who died by suicide following the incident.
