India's Prime Minister Modi awards 51,000 government jobs at 19th Rozgar Mela
Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 19th Rozgar Mela via video conference, handing out appointment letters to more than 51,000 young Indians for positions in various central ministries and departments, including Railways, Home, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services and Higher Education.
The nationwide employment fair, now in its 19th edition and held across 47 locations, follows a series of previous events that have collectively issued roughly 1.2 million government job letters. The initiative is presented as a key element of the government's effort to create employment opportunities for the country's large youth population.
Ministries involved in the appointments were listed in the event programme, and the virtual ceremony aimed to reach candidates from across the country, reinforcing the administration’s focus on youth empowerment and job creation.
