India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacks Congress, champions ‘Nation First’ and development record
Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Indian National Congress for abandoning the ‘Nation First’ principle and fostering what he called ‘chronic dissatisfaction’. He said the opposition now opposes infrastructure projects, questions supply chains for electric vehicles and spreads pessimism instead of offering constructive alternatives.
Modi highlighted his government’s achievements, citing completion of unfinished housing projects, expanded metro services serving millions of commuters, lower electric‑vehicle costs, tax reforms that raise the income‑tax exemption threshold, discounts of up to 80 % on medicines, free senior‑citizen treatment of up to ₹5 million, and faster issuance of driving licences and passports. He urged young people to recognise the opposition’s character and align with his vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India).
