India’s quantum communication hub signs first industry partner

QClairvoyance Quantum Labs has signed its first industry partnership agreement with the IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation. This foundation serves as the National Hub for Quantum Communication, established under India’s National Quantum Mission.

The partnership focuses on quantum communication, a field designed to address vulnerabilities in current encryption methods. While modern encryption relies on mathematical complexity, quantum computers could potentially solve these problems easily. Quantum key distribution aims to mitigate this by using physics to detect eavesdropping, protecting sensitive data from being captured now and decrypted later.

The hub structure is intended to provide necessary infrastructure, such as fiber testbeds and standardization, which individual startups may struggle to develop alone. This initiative is part of India’s broader technological push, which also includes significant investments in semiconductors and AI compute.
