India's Textile Sector Advances with Water‑Reuse Tech in Rajasthan and New Investment Hub in Odisha

Textile manufacturers in Rajasthan are adopting SED's low‑temperature evaporator (LTE®) technology to recover more water, lower operating costs and meet zero‑liquid‑discharge (ZLD) goals. The shift treats wastewater as a strategic resource, enhancing resilience and competitiveness across clusters such as Pali, Balotra and Jodhpur.

In eastern India, Odisha is positioning itself as an integrated fibre‑to‑fashion hub. Led by IAS officer Aboli Sunil Narawane, the state secured MoUs worth over ₹7,800 crore at the Odisha TEX 2025 event and now has a pipeline exceeding ₹8,800 crore, with the potential to generate up to 95,000 jobs. The roadmap emphasizes upstream spinning, technical textiles, recycling and apparel manufacturing to build a globally competitive ecosystem.
