India's TRAI launches MyCall app for real‑time call quality feedback

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a revamped MyCall mobile application for Android users. The app prompts subscribers after each voice call to rate the experience on a five‑star scale and to report specific issues such as call drops, echo, audio delay, voice breaking, cross‑connections, delayed call setup and one‑way audio.

Collected feedback is anonymised and shared with telecom service providers and TRAI, allowing operators to pinpoint network deficiencies and take corrective action. New features include an automatic post‑call prompt, a coverage‑test tool and an interactive feedback map that visualises reported problems across the country. TRAI says the platform will help improve overall call quality and monitor consumer experience alongside traditional quality‑of‑service metrics. The app is currently available only on Google Play for Android devices; an iOS version has not been released.
