Vishal Thennarasu Kayalvizhi, known as Vishal TK, is a 22‑year‑old Indian quarter‑miler who became the first Indian man to run the 400 m in under 45 seconds, clocking a national record of 44.98 seconds. He is a four‑time national champion, ranked among the world’s top‑60 in the event, and helped India win gold in the mixed 4×400 m relay and silver in the men’s 4×400 m relay at the Asian Athletics Championships.

Ahead of his Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow, TK says he is entering the competition with a "winning mindset", crediting coach Jason Dawson and the support of the Inspire Institute of Sport for his preparation. He aims to deliver his best performance and make India proud at the 2026 Games.
