India's voter list revision drives in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand

The Uttarakhand election department has intensified its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Voters who received notices for incomplete or mismatched documents must appear with original proof between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on 10 August at the local registration officer's office. Accepted documents include government ID, pension orders, birth certificates, passports, educational certificates, caste certificates, NRC documents and land or house allocation papers.

In Jharkhand, the Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar announced that a draft voter list and an ASDD (absent, transferred, deceased, duplicate) list will be published on 5 August, both online and offline. Citizens whose names are missing can submit Form‑6 from that date to have their names added. A #NewVoters social media campaign will run on 5 August from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to encourage verification and correction of the list.
