Indie games Faraway and AETHUS announce release windows and platforms

Several upcoming indie video games have announced release windows and platform availability, including support for next-generation hardware like the Nintendo Switch 2.

Faraway, a minimalist arcade puzzle game developed by Steph Thirion and published by Annapurna Interactive, is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026. The title will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game features procedurally generated levels where players control a shooting star to form constellations.

AETHUS, a sci-fi survival game from Pawsmonaut Games and publisher Making Port, is slated for a console release in early 2027. While already available on PC via Steam, the console versions will target PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Microsoft Store. The gameplay focuses on resource mining, outpost expansion, and exploration rather than combat.
