Indie horror film “Blood Shine” releases trailer ahead of August VOD launch

Dark Sky Films has unveiled the trailer for the indie folk‑horror feature *Blood Shine*. The film is written and directed by the genre duo Emily Bennett and Justin Brooks and stars Bennett as Clara, a religious zealot who worships light in solitary rituals, and David Call as Brighton West, a troubled filmmaker who becomes entangled in her practices. The story is set in upstate New York and follows their hallucinatory descent into faith, flesh and the sublime.

*Blood Shine* premiered at FrightFest London in 2025 and is scheduled to open in select U.S. theatres and on video‑on‑demand on August 21, 2026. The cast also includes Brendan Sexton III, horror veteran Larry Fessenden and Toby Poser. Production credits feature Emily Bennett, Garrett P. Fennelly, Zeus Kontoyannis, Aaron B. Koontz, Michael McFadden, G. Riley Mills and Alexander Schepsman.
