Indie RPG ‘Prelude Dark Pain’ released on Steam Early Access

Quickfire Games, an independent studio based in Seville, announced the early‑access launch of its tactical grid‑based RPG Prelude Dark Pain on Steam. Priced at €19.50 with a 10 % launch discount, the game offers roughly 12‑15 hours of play covering the entire first act. Players control nine distinct heroes—including Soren, a retired blacksmith turned rebel—each with a set of active, passive and virtue skills, exploring the grim world of Statera threatened by the ancient force known as Dark Pain.

The title draws artistic inspiration from Mike Mignola’s Hellboy work and classic strategy games such as Final Fantasy Tactics. Its narrative follows the Order of the Ashen Crusade and a burgeoning uprising against it. Co‑founder Arturo Martín highlighted community support from Kickstarter backers and pledged continued collaboration with players throughout early access.
