Indigenous communities hold regional meetings on territory and arts

Mapuche-Tehuelche communities held a meeting in Epuyén, Chubut, focused on water rights and territorial defense. Approximately 150 participants from various Argentine provinces, including Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Neuquén, and Río Negro, gathered to debate issues such as glacier and fire laws, community property, intercultural education, and the criminalization of indigenous populations.

In Chile, the Colectivo Epew and the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Chile Center are organizing the first meeting of performing arts and indigenous communities. The event includes workshops and performances, alongside the creation of the first national registry of performing artists from indigenous peoples to provide a sectoral diagnosis and promote ancestral identity.
