IndiGo aircraft hits docking pole at Srinagar Airport
An IndiGo aircraft, flight 6E 225 (registration VT-NOG), collided with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while being parked at Bay No. 06 at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning. The flight had arrived from Navi Mumbai.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:02 AM. While the aircraft sustained damage, all passengers and crew members were reported safe, with no injuries. Passengers were deboarded using manual aircraft stairs.
The Airport Authority of India has initiated a formal inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident. Officials stated that no conclusions are being drawn at this stage and that airport operations have continued normally without disruption to scheduled arrivals and departures.
