IndiGo flight Bengaluru‑Ahmedabad delayed by hoax bomb threat
A handwritten note reading “Don’t go. Bomb Hai! Please” was found inside the forward lavatory of IndiGo flight 6E‑6423 shortly before its scheduled 8 p.m. departure from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport on July 16. The crew alerted airport officials, prompting a full security inspection of the aircraft. No suspicious object was discovered, but the flight was delayed while authorities conducted standard safety procedures.
IndiGo lodged a complaint with the airport police, and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered on July 17. Police have launched an investigation to identify the individual responsible and determine the motive behind the hoax threat. The incident raised safety concerns for passengers, crew, and the airline.
